What is coaching?
Coaching is when a coach and client partner in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximize their potential. Coaches honor the client as the expert in his/her/their life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole.
The coach's responsibility is to:
-
Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve
-
Encourage client self-discovery
-
Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies
-
Hold the client responsible and accountable
Is coaching the same as therapy?
Coaching and therapy are two different things. If therapists are surgeons, coaches are personal trainers.
Coaching helps functional people achieve their goals. It is not a substitute or replacement for therapy provided by a licensed clinician trained to treat mental, emotional, and psychological disorders.
If there are many unhealed wounds that may affect the coaching relationship, you should seek out another mental health professional. I may be able to provide recommendations from my network depending on the situation.
Sometimes, you can work with a therapist and a coach at the same time, and these services can be complimentary.
Who can benefit from coaching with me?
I have expertise in supporting professionals navigate their career, and I utilize my many years of business and leadership experience and coach training.
I have helped people and teams work through stress, cultivate a more positive and effective mindset, and get clear on what they want and how to get there. I partner with my clients to create a thoughtful plan with goal-setting and taking the steps needed to achieve those goals.
Some of the goals my clients have achieved through our work together include (but are not limited to): navigating their current role and all that comes with it (relationships, corporate dynamics, career growth, performance reviews, promotions, etc.), supporting managers in their leadership journey to become more thoughtful and effective in their roles, helping people identify root causes of stress and feeling stuck - helping them get clear and unstuck so they can move forward, helping professionals pivot careers, land their dream jobs, and be more effective in their job search/networking/interview process, and helping clients get more organized, set boundaries, time management, and self care/mental wellness.
What do I bring to the table?
I bring my whole self to the coaching relationship, as I believe all elements of one's persona are deeply connected.
I obtained my coaching certification in 2015 from New York University, and for the past 20 years I have worked across the corporate and start-up world in New York City. I've led teams for 10+ years across time-zones and languages.
Beyond my academic and professional background, I have also experienced many ups and downs in my life and have gone through my own transformation and deep healing over the years. From the difficulties of childhood adversity to two pregnancy losses to navigating the joys and complexities of marriage, career transformation, and parenting, my experiences have unlocked wisdom and learnings that play a part in my ability to support others in the work I do today.
How do I work with organizations?
I have created and facilitated compelling programming and training for employees and managers at a variety of companies across different industries, and have provided coaching services to professionals across tech, media, finance, healthcare, entertainment, and many more sectors.
Once I have a better understanding of your goals, I can put together a proposal of my recommendation to best support your needs.

What is the process to get started?
If you're interested in working with me for your individual or organizational needs, you can reach out to me here to book a free consultation.
During the consultation I will ask you some questions to understand your goals. It's also an opportunity to get to know one another better and see if we're a fit to work together. From there, I will make a recommendation of how I can best support your needs.
